Wow, Frey. A lot of golden nuggets in this article! I love how you break down your process. Super easy to follow. I try to batch write my posts a week in advance. I definitely need to journal more so I can keep Notes "fresh", haha.
Thank you so much, Bryan! I really appreciate your kind words—it means a lot. Batching a week in advance is such a smart move, and journaling definitely helps keep those ideas flowing and fresh.
I’m glad you found the breakdown helpful, and I look forward to sharing more and learning from your insights too.
Frey your progress is amazing! So happy to see how quickly you are growing! Sorry if I missed it, but do you have a dedicated strategy for Notes? Meaning, do you commit to writing Notes daily or X number per week, or do you just write a Note whenever you feel like it? That’s what I do, and I wonder if I should commit to a schedule. Thank you for sharing what’s working for you, it’s very helpful!
Hey Mack, as always, I really appreciate your comment! I do have a system for my notes that’s been working well for me.
Daily I strive to post 3 notes:
One note will be based on a past article, which could be a simplified, shorter version, just the main idea, or even just a key excerpt or section from the article.
Since I’ve been writing daily for two months, I’ve built up a solid library of articles, for notes, and inspiration to pull from.
I thought it would be a great way to give my older ideas more exposure, especially since only my early subscribers have seen them.
The two other notes would come from my notes bank if you will, practically just my notes app where I jot down ideas as I go about my day. Usually there are stored 2-3 advanced notes so that when it's time to post, I can easily grab one, refine it, and turn it into a Substack note.
Of course, I aim for three notes a day, but on busier days, I might only manage one or two and that’s still fine.
I posted a screenshot of my Daily Substack Task,I call “Substack Maintenance”in this article if you wanna see (tried posting the screenshot here in the comment but I can’t seem to do it 😅)
I look forward to seeing what you paint as you prioritize some time for art again. Enjoy it!
Thanks so much! I'm really excited to get back into art and share what I create. Appreciate the encouragement!"

You're welcome, Frey! Glad to have input. Yeah batching and journaling have helped me a long the way.
Keep up the great gems!
